This picture impacts me emotionally because of the little 5 month old boy who is laying in the bed. He is so sick and malnourished and so is his mom. His mom isn't able to take care of him because she can't afford any food and can hardly take care of herself. It must be really hard to see your child dying and knowing there is nothing you can do to save him. NYTimes 2014It is hard to see how difficult life is for some people when we rarely have problems with starvation and severe malnutrition.

This is a good picture because the focus is on the dancer. The black background leads your eyes to the dancer.
I think this is a good photo because of the contrasting colors. The white flowers stand out because of the dark lake. Your eyes are guided to the horizon and it makes you feel like you are the one taking the picture.

This is a good photo because it is a very hard dance move to get right and this she is executing it correctly. The black light around her lets your eyes know where to go.
